A few words about the periodontist
First steps
Sophia Balafouti was born in Athens and raised in Rethymnon. In 2000, she graduated with an Honours Degree (cum laude) from the Semmelweis University School of Dentistry in Budapest, Hungary. She then successfully completed the Greek qualifying examinations at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Postgraduate Training
In 2003, she was accepted at the 3-year Periodontology and Implantology Postgraduate Program (Master of Clinical Dentistry) at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London, UK. She graduated in 2006 with Distinction, obtaining the European Federation of Periodontology Certificate.
Practice in the UK
She has worked as a Periodontal specialist in private practice in the UK.
Private Practice
Since 2007, she is practicing Periodontology and Implant Dentistry in her private practice in Rethymnon.
She is currently a member of:
